Bio

Andrew began his musical adventures in 1989 whilst he was still at school. He took influences from pop music of the time and his early songs were inspired by artists like Soul II Soul, Michael Jackson, Cathy Dennis, Salt 'n' Pepa, and Stock/Aitken/Waterman.

By 1993, he was writing and recording regularly under the pseudonym of 'Supernatural' - intending to work with his early collaborators; Colleen Petrie, Lorna Rolph and Amanda Trett. However, Andrew, who had been listening to artists like Björk, Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky, ended up recording two albums - "Honest?" (1995) and "Feline" (1996) (and half an un-released album) under this guise without them, before deciding to release material under his own name from 1999.

In 2001, friend Chris Boland - from the band Alighting, invited him to submit a track for a CD called "Skyline Songs" that would be released to raise funds for charity. Andrew jumped at the chance and within two weeks he'd written three new tracks, recorded his favourite and sent it back to Chris. The song, "While You Were Sleeping", an epic electronic song about late-night adultery joined a number of other songs and saw Andrew's first solo release under his own name.

At roughly the same time he commissioned Kent musician and remixer Matthew Youens, to produce remixes of the track for release on a single. Matt has since remained his long-term musical partner.

Also in 2001, he joined as a founding member of Cambridge based band Octosound, with whom he took lead vocals and was the principal lyricist. After recording a number of tracks and a few gigs, the band split in 2004.

In 2004, Andrew collaborated with poet and journalist, Alan Pedder, to record and release the track "Amnesty/Wreckage". This was followed up in 2005 with his album "The Fury And The Fire" which also included his collaboration with former Octosound bandmate Dario Galasso, "I'll Be Gone".

After a brief break, Andrew returned in 2008 with his new single "A Moment With You", which became the first of his releases to join other artists on iTunes. This was soon followed by a re-issue of the "While You Were Sleeping" single.

Andrew is currently finishing off the recording of his new album "The Vorticist", supported by singles, and hopes to perform some live UK dates soon.
