Humankind competition featured on LaptopRockers site
LaptopRockers.eu - the place where music junkies unite for music technology and remix news is promoting the Humankind Remix Competition.
Last year the site also ran with news of the Irresistible Remix Competition, which ultimately added to the success of the competition and undoubtedly increased the number of entries. The winning entries of that competition were Sven Erler and Sean Smith and their remixes featured on the digital release of the single.
The Humankind Remix Competition runs until 1st August 2010.
Humankind stem downloads beyond expectations
With the Humankind Remix Competition in full swing, the number of downloads of the track stems have exceeded all expectations.
With just a few weeks until the competition closes, even if just a quarter of the downloads turn into actual entries it will make the competition far bigger than last year's Irresistible Remix Competition and no doubt even harder to judge.
The competition has been listed on the Remix Comps website.
Andrew is said to be very excited by the entries and the number of downloads of the stems.
Corrupt File
A very small number of downloaders commented that one of the files within the bundle was corrupt. This was replaced on 4th July with a fresh file. If you also experienced this, you can download a fresh copy of just that track from the competition page.
Humankind Remix Competition is launched
Andrew officially launched the Humankind Remix Competition this afternoon.
The prize will see winning entry/entries being included in the digital single release of 'Humankind' - a robotic synth romp - which will be distributed via the likes of iTunes, Amazon and Napster etc.
Find out how you can take part at the Humankind Remix Competition page.
In The City – b-side?
Andrew has confirmed that he has been recording vocals for a track called 'In The City' today.
On his Facebook Fan Page, he wrote:
It is believed that 'In The City' may be the b-side for the forthcoming 'Humankind' single.
Humankind single confirmed
Andrew has confirmed that his next single will be the track Humankind, although a release date has yet to be announced.
Humankind will be the third track released from the forthcoming, and long-awaited album, The Vorticist.
It is unclear as to which other tracks or remixes will feature on the single, although recently recorded tracks include 'Seek And Destroy' and 'I Think I'm Falling'.
