A Moment With You was released on 11th February 2008 on CD and to worldwide digital stores, just in time for Valentine’s Day, and it marked Andrew’s return, and his first material since 2005’s album The Fury And The Fire.
This time, his sound had switched to a stark repetitive robotic synth sound, reminiscent of plenty of 1980’s hits before it, and to some degree it was musically inspired by the huge Cathy Dennis-penned hit for Kylie Minogue, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head. The song was originally written to sound more percussive, like Dido‘s track Thank You, but upon discovering the synth sound in the studio, its fate was sealed.
The single included a cover version of Silent Screamer, by his co-producer Matthew Youens, recorded digitally but using an acoustic sound that included double bass and accordion. Matt returned the favour, with a club mix under his MJY guise.
